The 12th Annual Miracles Gala, themed "Derby After Dark," is around
the corner and we'd love to have you to join us for a fun-filled and
memorable evening! We'll be decked out in hats, heels, and southern
elegance and look forward to seeing you on October 6th at the Sawgrass
Marriott in Ponte Vedra Beach.
The evening will include cocktail hour, dinner and drinks, live and
silent auctions, a special Fund A Cure segment, music and dancing! JDRF
will be paying special tribute to The GATE Foundation as its Corporate Honoree and Vistakon as its Presenting Sponsor.
Proceeds from the 2012 Miracles Gala will support the next milestone
in diabetes research, JDRF's Artificial Pancreas Project. The Artificial
Pancreas Project will enable people living with T1D to keep blood sugar
levels within a target range by having insulin automatically injected
depending on how much is required at a given time. This "closed-loop
system" will result in a better quality of life and decrease risks of
complications for millions of people, including children and adults in
our own Jacksonville/North Florida community. As JDRF accelerates closer
to a cure, the Artificial Pancreas will serve as a tremendous step
along the way.
